Okay, so describe exactly how you want these things prepped. Pull the quills, but leave the hair? Shaved hair? Salted or unsalted hides?????

Just lat the Porky flat..,grasp hair between thumb and forefinger.., give a good hard tug.., hair will come right out.--Be sure to keep all the hair in one direction, put a rubberband around it.., put in a zip-loc bag.(gal.) Does your Porkys have some good length?--the longest hair will be right above the tail.

Where are you woodsdweller?

I collect the guard hairs if they are 6inches or longer, most easterns are not multi colored like the western porkies, the multi color looks good in roaches but the darker ones with lighter tips I've not found much market for, $10 an ounce vs. $20 for the multi.

also quills if you are buying them, I take them live from porkies and prefer quill sales to guardhair.
