Hi Muleskinner, would you split up? Do they fit in a large flat rate box? If so how many? I could use half of them.

Thank's zeke73.

Zeke & Muleskinner, do Y'all bend the "hooks" so they will catch more turf and cut the tips at angles? I have found they work better for me down here in the piney woods with those modifications.

You can bend and cut them but if you need it, i trap in alot of thick sage brush and cedar they hang up fast , by not bending them i can bury them faster two , the lay flat, i think that is how tracy trumen had his there are flat and look just like these , that is how his rig looked like in his book anyways if you have it , you know what i am talking about :)

ps how many drags do you want? i would rather sell them all at the same time , do you want to trade or buy them? and what is the size of a flat rate box? i have no idea, they all fit in a 5 gallon bucket tight but it works,

pss if you pay the shipping i will split them up

muleskinner I would buy. A large flate rate box is 12"x12"x5 1/2" that's $14.50. What is the length an width of the drag's?

Swamp Rat I want to use them by duck scrape pond not deep enough for drowner's but surrounded by cattails so not bent should rap up pretty quick.I cought a few coon in my rat traps and they really do a number on the shore and their covered in mud so hope this will get them away from the edge a little. But put enough chain on it if a rat is cought it can get out and sink. Water is deep enough for a rat but not a coon.

I was never able to meet Mel, but my father took instruction from him in the 70s, and was a good friend of his, he was a really good person, that is rare i bleave in most long line liners, most of the so called big wigs dont really have much time to help a new trapper out of give advice on a problem you might have, most are very prideful, if you read his book, i think you can feel a great sence of humilty from just reading his book , if you dont have it you should check it out he was a great guy plus he could really put up the numbers..........a God fearing man............. :) .
