Does anybody have or know someone that raises California Rabbits, there isn't any in my area, would be intrested in buying three of them. Even if i have to pay for them to be shipped, must be a purebred.

You might try county and state fair animal exhibits. Chances are you will find some and not have to pay shipping for something you have not seen.

Here is a young fellow looking for rabbits and mt sends him paryting :shock: Yep I agree odd and unusual sales up here will find you exotics as well.

rabbits sure do taste good. Whats a california rabbit? We only have the brown ones. Eastern cottontail I think they are.

califrnia rabbits looks like the new zealond rabbits except their ears and feet is colored.

The Californian breed was developed in the early 1920s by George West. Rabbit breeders in the United States crossed Himalayan breeds and the Standard Chinchilla rabbit breed and New Zealand Whites. The purpose of this breed was to have a good meat breed that also had good fur. The breed did not become popular for at least 15 years after development. Today, the Californian rabbit is the second most popular meat-producing breed in the world. The fur quality allows this rabbit to also be classified as a fancy breed.

All white body with black ears, black nose and black toes.
