I have been working a beaver job for about 12 days. I have caught a beaver each trap check except the last one. I check about every two days. Four 330's are out, two in channel sets, was was on a dam break until last check and caught nothing. The fourth set was a castor mound set that took 3 of five. The dominant male and two three year old males. The channel sets down stream near the problem area were yearling males. Where are the females? It is strange that all have been males so far. Any suggestions on attracting the females? I haven't gone to the house entrances yet. I know that will get em eventually. It is a pretty bad infestation with multiple dams and multiple dens. Maybe the limiting factor is going to be how much the client is willing to spend.

Thank goodness, you are probably right. I was beginning to think it might be a gay beaver community. :--o
