Hey guys. I am new to trapping and this is the first year I have set out traps. Its been fun. almost like Christmas when you go checking traps. Never know what your going to get. I am located in SouthEast Idaho. Great trapping here. I should have some success once I get some catches under me. Since Jan 2010 I have caught

1-otter
2-beaver
5-skunks
1-mink
2-coon
1-muskrat

Any pointers would be great. I am learning as I go...

Hello- Hello - Hello,
I live (hide out) in North Idaho.
It has been a brutal winter for trapping. You all have a great site here, I'm glad to sign on.
There is no steel in the woods right now. I had a short line that got a very deep freeze then deep snow then a big thaw with rain. All within my 72 hour run schedule. Winter flash flood!
I fought the ice and the snow but when the creek was rearranged by mother nature, I bowed in reverence.

I'll try to get back out soon, they will be short lines though, as Pipepusher is beginning to prepare for spring bear.

Wasatch mountains of Utah here! Pretty good with a do on coons but going to try my hand on cats and yotes with coil springs this year.

Chris,

Not many members look around on all of the threads of WAT, welcome aboard. Most only view the first couple of threads. Don't be discouraged, just go up to the Trap Line and/or the Camp Fire and make yourself welcome. We have a friendly bunch of members and conversations will start to pick up rapidly as cooler weather approaches and folks start getting back into the outdoors.
