Some of the early seasons are already going, but the general season kicks off this Sunday. Got some squirrel boxes out and baited, just begging for traps to guard 'em. Anybody else laying steel already or ready to?

Hi,
I am new to this forum, but I just have a few sets out right now. I am going to school full time and working besides. I also just got married, so time is precious, but trapping is just as precious so I am making time for a little bit. I am looking forward to the last half of December, as I am taking a couple weeks between semesters to focus on trapping. I picked up some rats, and a monster coon as well as a fisher. I also have been having an otter (I think) eat a bunch more of my rats. In the past I have had a little trouble with an occasional mink, but they usually eat just a little bit, but lately I have lost several rats, with less than half left in the trap, all in the same general area, and I have seen a pair of otter hanging in that area. I was trying to avoid trapping them since the market was supposed to be bad this year, but if they eat one more rat, I think I might try to get them.
