when does the fur usually turn prime here in tn. I know we only have a small window of time. Are the fur ready when trapping season opens

i always heard after the 3rd frost is the beginning but dont know when it goes out.

Its usually prime in time for trapping season. Some female coons and young coons (the ones born the spring before season) may still be a little blue the first few weeks of season. Beaver are usually always prime in time for season. Rats too. By the time December rolls around everything is usually prime.
