I have a .257 weatherby mag and i'm shooting nosler partitions, is this to much of a gun for yote and cat calling?

i would think it would be way to much for cats if it is what i think it is.what grain bullets are we talking?

Ive never hunted cats but I'd say yes its too much. Never too much gun for a yote! I'd use a 155mm howitzer if they'd let me!
