 Post subject: snare problem

I have a christmas tree field fenced in that has a few holes in it that have fox and yote hair on the wire. i set a snare at one of the holes and all i have are k9s just goin rite through them without getin caught. iv been moving it up and down but cant get it them to slip into it. the loop is big enough also. they go into the field probebly once a week. what am i doing wrong?

You sure your loop isn't too big? Also, don't be afraid to block some of the area they're slipping under with brushy debris.

I set a snare out for fox and think im going to bring the camera out as its gonna be the best set ever. if they passed last night there gonna get the snag and it appeared that they were passing nightly. my loop was about 7 inch and think just the right height I will see today.

i set the snare in the hole of the fence. it is rite in front of the fence. the loop is the rite size. i have put a few more snares on the trail he is coming from. i mite try putin the stuff in the way to get em to go into the snare.
