hello from the ozarks. new to the forum lots of good info here. my question is could anyone tell me how to construct a bucket set for coons and other critters that this method is good for. im new to traping and need all the advice i can get

ya and if you cant find it there get a square buckett they work best and cut slots in the sides opposite eachother for the springs to slide in put bait at the back and stake it down so they cant run off with it if its something else.of course the size should fit the trap in the opening inside bait far enough back so they cant just reach in and pull it out. staking it also makes it so they can't tip it over and get the bait that way too. next chore is to fill it with a coon. then your buckett set is fully made.

First thing you need to do is make sure what size coni's you can use on land.I use buckets like wc said and it works great as long as there is no chance of someones dog sticking there head in it.If I know that there are going to be dogs around I make a plywood cubby box just big enough for the trap,I then cut my spring notchs atleast 9 inchs deep.My boxes are all 30 inchs long.
