i just found muskrat heaven. It's a two acre pond, surrounded by an apple orchard. I put 46 sets out today, and did not cover it all. Before i left i walked around to check my sets and already had 3 dead. Some of the houses are as big as beaver lodges. I plan on taking pics tomorrow to show the size if these houses!. Course in NY you can't trap within 5 ft of the house, but jeez! once ice comes it should freally be easy!
I put out 24 110's on burrows and runs, the rest are footers in slides and toilets. I'll let you know what happens. I think the slides might be dead because they already picked the orchard, but some still had fresh tracks on them.

I will be sure to get some pics up of it soon so yall can see. The guy who owns it said, yeah i fugure you could get 15 or so outta here....and i did everything i could not to laugh out loud. You can see 10 at a time swimming at dusk...where you see ten., there are 100. Can't wait till morning check!

If you can use colony traps, I think I'd set some....might double/triple your catch in the same trap.

Stupid NY outlaws all colony traps. However, aftyer hearing what lil bit deals with in mass, im not too upset....at least they let us use 110's without a permit!
