This is a horrible picture, but I am thinking this is a killer mink spot. The black lines on the pic represent the bottom of a submerged log (you can barely see the actual edge of the log) that has been silted in the bank of a small creek. The pool is about 3 feet deep at the deepest point. The water goes back in under the log about a foot and it is choked with minnows that consider it a refuge. The red arrow is pointing to the spot that the log and creek bottom meet in about a foot of water. That is the point that a body grip will be going. I suspect that the mink will be travelling the opposite bank and cross at a riffle just downstream from the red arrow about 10 feet. The little rascals have to know that the minners hang out underneath the log and as they dive down for vittles, BAM! they find my trap. This is a sorta baited bottom edge set.
