not so creative, but definitely effective for rats.....follow the bubbles under the ice to the hole in the bank. Chop ice place conibear, come back in morning and collect rat :lol:

Ya thats what i do alot and you can see wher ethe ice is thin to telling ya where they been swimming but we havent even got snow here so the water aint freezing up. bunches of rain though, keeps flooding up the creeks, i swear the weather here changes every 5 minutes. its snowing then instantly its raining, just sucks

yeah we just hit a warm spell here in ny too, got the coons movin though, not into my traps, but moving

I use pocket sets for the mink and coon. With Muskrats being the bait for mink. I also use fish oil this attracts the coon and mink. For the rats I look for their feed beds and runs. Catch the rats and after you skin them out, quarter them for your bait. this woks great here in Wisconsin.
