Welcome. Foxes like the smell of cat urine, so if you're using urine on any of your sets, you'll likely catch a fox or two. Just the same, if you catch a cat in any of your sets, do an immediate remake, and set a second trap just outside the catch circle. It's not uncommon to come up with doubles on foxes with in the next day or so.

Welcome to the forums. We're glad to have you here. :D

...Bobcats and greys... can't trap a whole lot of them in my neck of the woods... sounds cool. :)

You know, I think you're the only trapper I know of that is from Utah. What kind of regulations are out there? I know Colorado is totally no-trapping.

Theres not a whole lot of regs here but you do have to check foot hold traps every 48 hours and snares every 3 days. you have to have a gap on the jaws of your traps and a trapping number on every trap you set.
Also you are only allowed 6 bobcats a year and they have to be permently taged at the end of the (probably that way in every state) and you have to turn in the bottom jaw of every cat you catch. All other furbearers there is no limit and no check in.

when you guys talk about rats are you talking about real rats?
