Hello to everyone I am new and wanted to say hello.I would also like to ask some questions and pick your brains if you dont mind.Although I am new to trapping I have been hunting for 28 years now and do know my around the outdoors but seem to have trouble finding sign for the critters I would like to catch.I would really like to catch some mink and muskrats this season.I am trapping in a couple locations one of witch is an old beaver dam.My son and I [11 yrs. old great kid] fished this dam all summer and seen rat on every outing but this fall no sign that I can find.I did catch a rat last night in a blind set and this has me confused on why I did not see sign.I also am trapping mink/and coon in pocket sets[setting for]but I guess what I am asking does anyone know if there is a healthy population of mink in West Virginia. Thanks for any advice possible!

Welcome to the site.
Many times for rats mink, I set trickles of water. Seems to do very well . Also set springs, bottom edge sets. Creat pockets for both mink and rat using rat carcass's. Work well on both.
