Last Thursday went and set up some beaver traps and caught 4. Fur is looking good so went out today and set up 29 beaver sets. Already had some ice on ponds near shore this morning. - 5 this morning and -4 yesterday morning. Next week is nice, no minuses over night. All small ponds now then big lakes closer to end of month.

We really need to figure out how to post pictures on here again. None of the programs I have checked out have worked for me. I know WOLF has already got some good pictures from his lines.

I have been using PostImage.org and it has worked well for me. It doesn't do videos, but for pictures, it works well.

Well Richard, some sights were more interesting that were not on the tour routes.

The real question from Swamp's picture is how long will those ducks hang in the Chinese market before they get cooked or put in a frig? Maybe we don't want to know!

Good to hear that wolf is clearing out those flattails. Those critters never give up, do they, being the good rodents they are. The maintenance people at my facility know that I will skin out a good road killed critter and one of them hit me up about a "beautiful red fox" laying in the ditch about 3 weeks ago. If it would have been at about 8 in the morning and I was getting off the night shift, I might have thought about it but not at 4 in the afternoon after laying there in 75 F temps most of the day. But I told them to let it be known if something like that happened in November and beyond, look me up!

We had our first killing freeze about a week ago and the red maple cultivars that everybody and their 3 cousins plant around here for house trees have turned or are turning color and the farmers have about half their soybeans out. Its fall for sure, just not fur fall yet around here...

Hit the 50 mark today on beaver. Snow storm happening this evening and will carry into tomorrow. Could be 4 to 6 inches of the white stuff. Temps are now below freezing at night and highs of 0 to plus 2. Friday hope to hit some big lakes and catch a few more. But i fear my small beaver ponds will be froze over by this weekend thus limiting me to catch more.

Also another big one this year, not as big as last year but still a hog. 72 lbs

And last a pic of my son and my pride and joy Deakon.

thanks chief, how are your little ones coming along. Skinned and boarded 2 today, rest in freezer. tomorrow cancel for beaver but will try for Saturday. Lots of heavy wet snow and fear my trails will be kaput. swamp knows what work is involved when heavy snows hit the area. Not fun clearing trails. ^ inches of white wonder so far.
