2 years ago I made up some bait from hunks of meat. I have forgot how to stop the aging process. I have a jar of meat that is really ripe.

I always just add glycerin.

X2! I have beaver meat from 2 years ago in mason jars filled with glycerin and it's still very fresh.

Add a liberal amount of powder form sodium benzoate to stop aging.
