Just after Christmas the animals have all gone into hiding so it seems. Not many tracks of anything. Temps are very cold and the snow is starting to pile up. Was out today to check my 6 boxes and 2 otter sets, not one fresh track anywhere. I did get one marten.

an old slider track going through a culvert.

Although not the surprise swamp got when checking , it was nice to connect on a marten.

At least you got another marten so it wasn't a wasted check. I think the slider is just playing with you.

congrats on the marten Wolf ! Slow here too. Snowing again but at least the wind died down so it ain't a blizzard. no tracks other than deer. Thought they were all dead.

Nice marten Wolf.

Truthfully, I haven't seen many tracks in the snow of anything lately come to think about it.

I don't leave many tracks in the snow, so I can understand why the critters don't. Wish we could land trap in Feb., think our cats are better now than a month ago.
Nice to see pictures of you guys connecting.

Rock solid he is. Couple days to thaw and will skin. Will do a couple head shoulder pics for you bwm. 41 inches from head to tail and will gain a few inches once thawed. Been blistering cold here for almost 2 weeks now and -43 today with the wind and tomorrow -45. Traps are still left for one more check. I did reset the otter set with a 330, that's all I had. I sure hope March will be warmer. Many people here are having issues with frozen water lines and I don't want to fall into that category.

Fire is on in the garage. Monday should be ready. Jump on the plane and I will pick you up at the usual spot. Bring long johns and wool socks. You already have skinned otter for me before but if you want another crack at it.

Yes TR that is a dandy and no singe that I can see. You might as well jump on the plane with Swamp and make sure he behaves himself in a foreign Country and we can share some lies and things :)
