Who off sets there traps when making a set and to what side. I set straight out from the hole. Just wonder if many people do the same and why

I set straight out from the hole. Reason is i use a trench type step down, inclined or deep. I generally use the deep one but just preference. For me that dictates being pretty much in front of the hole.
