The land owner gets to keep it. But did give me the option. He just so happens to be one of my best friends and taxidermist. He is going to life size mount it with my picture business name and my name as the trapper and its going on the wall in the taxidermy shop. Alot more people will see it there I have no room for a life size mt at my house so im very excited and get to see it all the time out there.

Did the cougar meat taste as good as most everyone said it would be? Better than lynx or bobcat?

Don't know about bobcat or lynx swamp for I have never tried them but it is better than venison and I love venison

I've heard cougar is good vittles. Not to mention more backstrap than on a bobcat!

I think I'd have to change my standard dispatch round if I walked up on a lion and could shoot it :--o

Well johnny sneekum hit me for two grey fox today on a line that we set up just 48 hrs ago checked yesterday and no activity checked today to find my wife's set with fox hair all over the trap and no fox thought many the cold slowed down the trap it was 19 degrees checked the next trap it was undisturbed checked the third set which was a double set with 2 mb450s both traps had fox hair in them and a lot of it they could not get the traps fore the where staked with wolf fangs I have an edgicated guess as to the culprit but no proof cameras are now up and hidden johnny sneekum just made my trapping board as my primary target for the season can't wait for the next catch might get two for one

That is a bad way to start off a new year PK. I certainly hope you get the culprit on your camera and are able to deal with them properly. I feel sure they will be back to check "their traps". :?

Oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEACE KEEPER!!!!!

While on a Montana bear hunt I had bear link sausage and lion pan sausage, both were very good

Pick ed up another grey on Tuesday and a Labrador yesterday returned to owner unharmed both taken with mb 450s  yes amak I do love my MBS even the 450 fox specials are tough as nails they are accountable for one of the cats and one of the coyotes which really suprised me the MBS have greatly reduced my miss catch to catch ratio my long springs haven't hit the dirt this year but I still can't part with them
