Post subject:  weasel trapping

this is my first year and I was just wondering how many people trap weasels. where I am i see weasels when I'm siting in my deer stand so I was planing on trapping them. what is your most effective way to catch weasels?

Other than catching them incidentally in mink, marten and fisher coinbear trap sets I catch them in boxes with a Victor rat trap usinf a bloody bait and weasel gland for lure. A quick and simple set up is a milk carton and rat trap which I call the "poor mans weasel box".Image

I use the rat traps just like BCTomcat but I made woodin boxes to hold mine, I found most lures didn't make a dif on my catch thow, just put good old beaver meat in the box and set on sighn and I had weasels

Chicken livers is a good bait also. Cheap to buy a tub of them at the grocery store.
