the only places that i can trap for fox and coyote, are off semi-busy paved roads, everyone would see my vehicle, and see me make the set, but couldn't see if i actually caught anything?

should you use scent eliminator at a set after you make it, but before you put your lure in?

I wouldn't use it,just keep your equipment and self clean. They'll know you've been there no matter what.Just stay clean, and good luck.

use drags or hide your sets well so that dishonest people wont still your equipment or catches.

If your only worry is people seeing you making the sets, you could make them early in the morning when the trafic was light. I don't use any kind of scent eliminator, but I do use urine at most of my fox sets.

Drag sets are very common where traffic is present. i use drags on like popular gravel back roads so the k9 just takes off with the trap in the woods bout 30-40 yards out of sight. pretty easy. ya like carnivore said just set and check them in the morning or at night. good luck

I you have cover next to the road, I use a slide wire, much like a beaver downer, and you don't have to track down your catch. 1/8" cable works well, be sure to use a couple of extra swivels. I use this set up right on the edge of the road some times.

If the traffic can't see your animals in the trap I would still stake them down. I do not like drags for canines do not have time to hunt them down before work. As for cover up sent no keep your equipment clean and spend as little time as possible at each set, wear rubber boots and gloves.
