I get to go hime this weekend from college. The only animal in in PA is beavers until i think March 31. This will be the last weekend for me to get beavers. I have gotten 2 so far. I have one pond to trap where i already got one beaver. I tried to trap another under the ice with no luck but now that the ice is out i get another chance. I will let you know how it goes. I am sad that this is the last weekend for beaver trapping until Christmas.

This weekend is my last shot at the beaver too. I'm going to put a few sets out at a friends camp this afternoon. I've got until Sunday, then It's back home and to work. Hate to see it end. Have fun. :D

I hope zeek had better conditions to trap under than we did. The only open water was right at the dam and the ice was to thin to walk on. We can't set within fifteen feet of a dam here, so it made things kind of tough. We did catch a few beaver, but things would have been a lot better if we could have waited another week or so.

The conditions were good but apparently not good enough. I did not catch anything. Another guy that i know was trapping there too and when i pulled my traps he had not caught anything yet. I caught a 38 pound beaver out of this pond this year and have not heard of anyone catching anymore out of it. I konw there are more in there because there was fresh sign. So maybe next year.
Carnivore: I have to stay fifteen feet from the dam and the hut here in PA too. A few regions we do not but where i trap i have to.

Oh well. It must have been nice to get away from school and be out trapping, just the same. You'll get 'em next year. :D
