Did'nt want you to think you are all alone ! I'm from Warsaw originally but have lived in NW part of state since '98. I'll be 53 next month and have 2 kids(a boy 15 and a girl 11) that live in Silver Lake(12 mi. south of Warsaw) with my ex. Started trappin' last year for the first time since '74 and had a ball. Had forgotten how much work it is, but helps an old guy stay in shape ! I also can be found on Indiana Trapper Talk. Another good place to find me up here is along Trail Creek in hot pursuit of Steelhead ! Hope you had a good trappin' season ! I caught my first beaver ever back in January out of a creek on family property in Kosciusko Co. so felt real good about that. My totals for '06-07' were: Muskrats-3, 'Coons-3, Possum-4, and Beaver-1. Still trying to catch my first 'Yote. See you in Goshen come this August !

Well to bad you dont live any closer we could get together for a beer and talk trappin' and stuff. As I have nothing but time on my hands right now,I go in on thursday for surgery on my shoulder. And will probably be off of work for at least 8 weeks after that.We had a pretty good season for mainly just weekend trapping,I caught 28 coon-12 grinners-and 4 muskrats. My new trapping partner and son caught 13 coon and 10 grinners. We are gonna try and catch our first canines this upcoming season.

Sorry to hear you are going under the knife day after tomorrow. That really sucks ! :( I hope Doc gets you all fixed up ! I'm sure that this past season was pretty painful with a bum shoulder. Take care !

Hi fella's. haven't had a chance to talk to any one from IN. My Dad was born and raised not far from Maxwell. In '60 I took him back there, he hadn't seen the place in 40 years. Nothing left but a raised level spot where the barn had been. Used to be a good sized apple orchard but nothing left. I did see some nice woods toward the back of the place, remember him talking about trapping in them when he was growing up. I'm glad he could go with me (I was on my way to Puerto Rico, in the Air Force) as he died four years later, just after I got back. Have a good season and think about the early boys who learned their trade there.

Cool ! I went to school at Claypool, in fact I was in the first ever Kindergarten class in 1960 and lived on what is now Country Club Rd. I graduated from Warsaw in 1972. My daughter is a freshman at Warsaw and my 19 yr. old son works at Symetery Med. in Claypool. I have relatives that live near Palestine and I still do most of my deer huntin' out that way. I wonder if anybody traps that creek just north of the Claypool school ?
