Just thought I'd share some pics from seasons past... I'm getting that turkey hunting urge. :D All birds were taken with a Benelli Nova 12 gauge, extra full choke and 3-1/2" turkey loads.

Wisconsin-- Spring 2002:

Spring 2003:

Spring 2004:

2004 again... 11" beard, also had 1-1/8" spurs. Only weighed 19 pounds though, found out later he had a bum leg and was on his "last legs" so to speak.

Enjoy! :D

nice turk, we are getting alot, and a lot i mean around here, but the sad thing is, is that i dont see much qual or pheasants anymore, anyway i think putting bacon on turkey or any game bird keeps it tender and moist, prolly the bacon grease in it or something.

2 years ago I started the season saying that I would shoot one bird with a gun to get one out of the way and then go out with the bow. The first day I got 1 with the gun and the very next day I was fortunate enough to get my first bird with a bow! Last year I got both my birds with a bow. I do recal missing about 6 birds befor I finaly got my first last year. The evening of that same day I called in and shot my second bird and by this time it was late may. Things just work out that way and I guess I was going threw a bad funk with the bow shooting. These things do pass and now I am shooting straighter!! Ha.
Does anyone else go with a bow?
I don't think I will ever go back. It is SWEET!

When does ya'lls season start? Are's is April 14th. I have to take an ACT so I will miss the morning hunt but I will have two extra free days because I scored advanced on last years testing.

Hey Gary, how many turkeys can you take in Missouri? Are tags available over the counter for a non-resident? My daughter lives in Jeff City, I'm thinking about visiting her during turkey season. :D
