Just wondering if any of you guys are Nascar fans. I'm pretty much a diehard, I'll be watching the twin Gatorade qualifiers this afternoon.

Go Jr.! :D

lol. I grew up watching it. My dad and I were a big fans of McDuffie until he died at the Budweiser. So we don't root for any one driver anymore, we just watch it because it's exciting.

What you think about that Bud shoot out.I thought there was a lot of team's had a long way to go to be competitive.Rookie's looked good ,how about them toyota's. I dont how you can be a rookie and ran as many race's as Montoyua [That aint the way he spell's it I bet]Bet he does good on the road course's.

Montoya is one heck of a driver but he will have a steep learning curve this year. I would not be surprised if he won a race this year though.

The Toyotas still have a lot of work to do, judging by their qualifying efforts at Daytona. I think they will come on strong later in the year though.

If any of you are interested, myself and a buddy have started a racing forum here-- www.TurnLeftRacing.com/forums/

:D

I see M.W. wasn't the only one that got his HANDS SLAPT this week. I see race #2 winner is in the lime light and not for just winning the race.  That should make the neighbor happy!

Slamon, Daytona is like the Holy Grail around hear, congrats on making it to 4 races. Can't seem to get the time off to go to that race.

My business partner is at Daytona right now, he was at the two races yesterday. Lucky bugger.

Yeah, Jeff Gordon's car failed post-race inspection for being an inch too low... no wonder his car handled so well when he made the pass for the lead. But... Nascar said it was due to a part failure so he won't get penalized. He does have to start at the back of the pack however, NOT a good thing at a restrictor plate track.

Oh yeah, I tend to believe Mikey when he says the cheating was perpetrated by one or two individuals. I don't think Mikey knew anything about it. He is a class act. His crew chief will get canned today.

Kd I most strongly disagree. I met him twice, the first ever nascar race at the brickyard and at Bristol .he is NOT A NICE GUY.He is an arrogant self center piece of well you know .I had a 10 year old boy with me at the brick wanting a autograph every driver we ask was more than polite about it but mr. nice guy himself MW. Here is a quote " you fan's are no more than a distraction to us driver;s most of the time I got no time for you 'well M.W. I got new's for you M.W. if it wernt for fan's you would be just an idiot going in a circle going nowhere fast.Oh what I'am I thinking that is what he is doing. It is ashame when a driver' think's they are bigger than the sport it' self.Paul Newman was the same way in racing Quote from P.N. I wish these races' were closed event's and only televised That way the driver's would'nt have to put up with the fan's. M.W. put's on the Mr. Nice guy hat for the t.v. cam's but in reality he is a creep .I always hope he is out early in the race.At Bristol they had to call security if I could have got in arm's length of that looser I would have taken a swing at him.He made an off comment about the young lady I was with.As far as him not knowing what was going on with the car I say to that he is a lair too.

That's very interesting, my buddy had exactly the opposite treatment from M.W. He was very nice and cordial.

I don't doubt what you say though.

It all depends upon their mood. Just like us. Good mood when finding a nice beaver in a 330. Bad mood when a 330 goes off on your leg or arm while reseting.

I guess that's right I could have got him on two bad day's . I just figured thats the way he was all the time. when them 330 's take a whack at you the mood most certainly change's . from fears to tears.
