Wow! I might actually have to get my winter jacket out. It's a little cool out this morning. Woke up to -14 and a light NW breeze of 5-10. They're talk'n -18 to -20 by tuesday. That should keep TrapperKD happy, he likes it cool out.

p.s. I was out on weatherbug 2 weeks ago and Fairbanks Alaska had a HIGH of -35 and a low for that night of -40. That's dang cold.

Buck them is some brutal temp's. I was just about to gripe about the temp's here,0 to -5 for the low's about 4 or 5 mornings in a row .It's suppose to be the coldest weather we've had in 3 years. Stay warm.

Its so nice to be out in the warm sun sporting my hawaiian shorts and shirt Im sure glad that the global warming is here -9 degrees heck the water is barely cold enough to form ice. I kind of wish I would have taken a swim today was sweating so bad. could global warming be a 1000 year trend. or say a 10,000 year trend or even a 100,000 year trend I mean they have been documenting the weather for say close to 1 million years right ? does the earth wobble a little or is it perfectly spinning around the sun at all times or is there a slight variation in the trajectory of the earth that it could be warmer for periods of say 50 thousand years or more , I mean doppler radars have been around for atleast 90 thousand years right. see where Im going with this . yes I do believe that we have altered some and should restrict our emissions more than they are but all of what scientists have is a theory it is not set in stone but they think it is. man has only really been able to document the weather for just a blink of an eye a split second in the time that has passed here on earth and they know its fact Hog wash. I still do think that we can be contributing to this but not to the extent that they are trying to take credit for. say this in alaska didn't they find some graves that were under the ice that were supposed to have been buried for 50 thousand years or more. Did all there campfires back then make it possible for them to live on the ground then it turned to ice or what the heck . theories that is mostly what i think the real smart people have and they think that it is fact . make your own conclusion. thats just how I think.

COLD here in NW Indiana too !!! -5 w/ wind chill @ -22 as of 8:45 AM. Pulled all my 'Yote sets until a little break in the weather. No critters seem to be moving, especially me in this stuff ! Went to Gander Mt. yesterday & picked up a dozen snares & #2 Bridger. Never tried snares & anxious to give it a go. I'm going to break out the 'ol ice fishin' gear this next week-end & do some jiggin' for White Bass & Walleyes.

Was'nt global warming discover by the politicians? Just goes to show you how smart they are! They can't seem to tell hot from cold and these people are running (ruining) the country. We are in BIG trouble!

it was -18 at 8 am this morning it is now -9 I am going to check . the Ice is 8 -10 inches I think. think I am going to make some baited sets with 330 under the ice. I tried a snare but they didn't seem to want to go through or I was totally in a bad spot . I think I will try one spot where I think they are going out. gonna see here in a minute car warming up oh see the temp is up to -8 .and a balmey -26 with the wind chill.

I had -25 this morning. Finally had to wear my winter boots. :D Nice and sunny though. If the temps get up to -10 or so this afternoon I might have to get out and work on my tan.

Wear your sun screen you might suffer a nasty sun burn .My neighbor just called he had a yote on a cow carcass so went and put that song dog down. I had to walk about 300 yards to pick him up, into the wind and that's all I wanted.

just got back one pull out for a weasel and two others went in but missed the pan one mink and I set two baited conibears in better locations than previous. the one was almost 9 inches of ice and one that Im betting there using lots there was 3-4 inches kind of freaked me out second stroke of the chissel and water got alittle nervous but all went well . I got really cold on the first hole couldn't feel my thumb so I went and warmed it up. about 10 minutes then I went and set that . the wind died down and seemed like it got lots warmer but I see the temp is the same as when I left. wind chill. was pretty frosty when I got home . I might have put them too deep but then again I may not have there was about 4 feet of water and I believe I got them two feet minus the 8 -9 inches on the one.the mink are still ok but I am starting to think I am going to pull soon. very soon there on the edge . although this last mink is still better than the first on I got so we will see.

Good quality fur but when I peeled him out his neck was bruised after a further look I could see that the neck hair's was a little damaged .Their in heat right now here and just before dark I had 2 red fox across the road from my house barking back and forth to each other.their in heat also.I've got 9 degrees now at 7:20 so we'll go below 0 tonight.I know we been trying to do some ice fishing [trapping season over here ]some places we can get on some we cant.My pond has around 3 inch's on it.
