In the words of MTA president Gary Meis, "its a great day to be a trapper"The lawsuit brought against the MN DNR has been settled in our favor. The H.S.U.S filed a lawsuit against us trying to halt trapping to protect the lynx from accidental catch. Theres alot of details to the case and im not a court reporter but in a nutshell we dont lose any geographic trapping land and we get to keep our traps. Immagine getting a letter from the DNR stating you could no longer trap where you live! The potential for that happening was there and i dont think it would go over too well up here. theres a thread on T-Man from Gary with all the details.
