blew across the farm field's in the river bottom's this year it uncovered some thing's of intrest..where the river cut through it took all the top soil off down 12 to 24 inch's in place's.. here's some of the stuff I found. If you look real close at the third one from the left in the top row you can see a small insect fossilizied in the arrow head you can even make out the antenna's on the bug's head ..the coin in the second row is a 1848 one cent piece..the indian head nickel was pitted so bad I can't make out the date.....Image

I was like SKS I had never found one in my life till after the flood ..I had a guy a few day's ago offer me $600.00 for everything I found ..but not knowing what they were worth I declined .I didn't know if he was trying to screw me or that's what they were worth..I'm ignorant on artifact's ..here's the rest of what I found....the one in the lower right hand corner has a fish or a bird carved in it I'm not sure...it's on the front it also has line's carved in it all the way around the stone running up and down the length of the stone.Image

i wont sell anything that i find. when you look at them as a monitary item.... its just a rock. artifacts are only worth as much as they are to the person that found them.

he seemed real interested in the stone in the above pic. in the lower right hand corner and this one..they both have the line's like this small stone..this stone is the size of a silver dollar..I found the two laying with in a foot of one another..top view and a side view.both stone's look like they are made from the same piece of rock......Image...........Image
