i ahve tried regular tan before on beaver tails and they came out hard and couldnt be broken to be soft. do yo think that a reptile tan (because of the scales that cover the tail) would be a better choice to try?

Wish I could give you some expert input on that BigMoo, but I have only tanned them for wall hangings and they do become stiff.

I'v done a couple of snake skin's and I used Johnson's baby oil to soften them up ..don't know about the tail if it would work or not...had a guy make me a check book cover out of the beaver tail and man was it nice it wore like iron, had it for year's and it looked like the day he finished it...

In that case Chief, I need to find me a beaver tail wallet. I wear my wallets out real quick. I should change them out about every six months, but I don't feel like wasting money and keep them until they fall apart.

Preacher, to avoid wearing out your wallets so quickly, get married and then you won't have any reason to have one.

Eh, I'd rather be able to use mine. I'd much rather put 20 bucks into a wallet than a whole paycheck into a woman. :D Besides, me and women haven't been working out too well lately. My good friend just got him a girlfriend and she's p-oed at me most of the time. I was supposed to go on a date with one of her friends, but I took my buddy fishing the day after she got back. Needless to say, she got mad and the date was off. Oh well, more money for me. :D

Preacher that remind's me of this and by the way... I love my woman[just in case she stumble's across this while useing the computer]....................NICKNAMES
If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Kate and Sarah.
If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.

EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.
When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.

BATHROOMS

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel .
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.

DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the trash, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.
A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!

   Thanks Chieftain....I had almost forgotten some of those mind boggling facts! I had smoked venison sausage, green beans and fried squash for the noon day meal. I have been working on another live trap, all the frame is together and now all I have to do is put the wire on it. It is a bit heavy, framed it out of 1" square tubing, so I reckon it will be one that is placed near a road and left for the season. Mighty wise use of your time, pumping water and reading FF&G.

What are you pumping water for Chief? Are you flooding an area for ducks or something? Or just decided to make a pond? By the way, I had jack squat for lunch today.

  That's a good one. Keep your real wallet in the glove box locked and have a 2.99 wallet in your pocket with nothing in it. Scam the scammers. :P
