The bad news is my pap ACCIDENTALLY hit the female mallard racking hay. She flew away with one leg and her behind was all bloody  .

The good news is all the eggs are ok and we are going to incubate them and eventually let the ducks go. I have a question, what temperature should I use to incubate the ducks and chickens?

99.5 degrees F and make sure to turn them twice a day and have water in the incubator. Let me know how it goes.

Looks like Trappintime has got an "onboard" computer now....or else he is taking a well deserved break from the Fields of Glory in the Far North!

Good luck on your duck eggs Bloomy.

You didn't do anything. Have you seen her since? I'd say as long as the coyotes don't get her she'll be fine. If there weren't any pieces flying off or anything, she might recover.

It might sound bad, but if she's in bad shape and you get her before the yotes you could have her. No sense in letting the yotes get them or letting it rot. If an animal dies here we hop right on it. Except dogs and cats...

Sorry to hear about the mallard. Who knows, she might end up being all right after all. Good luck incubating the eggs.
