Well heck, I wish I could post a photo here.
When I lived in Oregon, my native american husband made an awesome knife from one side of the sheep sheers. It's crude but as he said, the natives made weapons from about any metal they could scrounge from the white guys.
I found a small set at a junk store. Probably made for a woman or child. I used it to make a knife for him just like the one he made for me.
A deer leg bone is inserted into the inner curve of one side of the handle and wrapped with heavy rawhide. It holds an edge pretty well. Makes a good utility knife.
