I took the yak (kayak) to High Point Lake today which is the highest lake in elevation in Pennsylvania today which is next to Mount Davis which is the highest point in PA.

Even though I only live about 55 north of this place this is the first time I've ever fished it.

I caught a small bass and a real nice size bluegill and I saw another guy catch a beautiful northern pike but that was it. The lake is just full of weeds plus I baked in the sun and called it a day around 12:30 PM.

Looks like fun!!! I think your water is just a tad bit clearer than ours. Eastern South Dakotans would have a heart attack with that many trees around them!!

I was using a worm harness, which is a leader with 3 hooks on it for using a whole nightcrawler on it. I was trolling for walleye but just caught bass and big bluegills.

I kind of lump all sunfish into the bluegill category. What I caught was actually a pumpkinseed (last picture), which is the most common panfish. The bluegill, pumpkinseed, redbreast sunfish, redear sunfish and green sunfish that I've caught will end up being called bluegill. See the link below.

bit confusing for me but as long as they taste good. Try fishing with swamp.... Yikes.... white perch, water moccasin and gators all in one day. Little stressful for this northern boy.
