That one I have not seen before.
Looks like it could be used to hold pooh paper but I suspect it's not for that.
It has a hook under the handle that could hold a rope for picking up tied bags and the three hooks at the bottom could hook onto some moveable type opening of a package.

Looks like a handle , made to carry something .

or a woman's plaything .

The hook is decorative only and not to carry anything. Not a "plaything" or to be carried during use use. Stands about 12" in height. Here is a fancier unit.

The probe is heated and then placed inside to warm the item. Think clothing.

If no one wants to participate, I guess I won't post any more of these "What is it?" pictures. Come on folks, someone take a swing at it.

Only thing I can come up with is boot warmer or condom warmer.

TT

No offense meant. Nobody, but the two of you, seems to want to play the game.
Both are used the same. One is just fancier than the other. As I said earlier, think clothing and this is warmed up.

doc - really a condom heater? I thought friction did that.

Rem, I ain't offended as with no one around me I'm used to being no one.
What's a condom? :--?
What did they heat the chamber with?
What the [L] would make anyone think of a boot warmer?

A boot warmer might be a bit off the wall, but it was a guess. This is used for some specific clothing.

Actually, is is called a goffering iron. It was used to smooth ruffles and pleats, mostly ruffled collars. You've seen pictures of Shakespeare with the fancy collar? The material was starched and formed using this iron.

Lots of starch and that funny looking iron made the ruffles stand up.
