Got my garden worked up , still need to till a section but ready to start planting. Way too early for most things, but I have garlic up and might plant onions and taters next week. Got a bunch of plants started indoors : several types of tomatoes including Amish, big pink, red cherry, peppers : Vietnamese and banana , and green peppers. went to the FFA greenhouse today and got cabbage , broccoli, and cauliflower plants. Also got yellow pear tomatoes, my granddaughter's favorite. Boy old pappy will get some brownie points for that !! Got more mater plants too, didn't need them but it helps the FFA .

Been a cold wet spring here. Almost have the garden turned under. Need to spread compost and work it in. Have maters, and onion sets to go in. Usually have radishes, peas, spinach, and maters in the ground before now. Nice day yesterday, but more rain today.

Just the opposite here rem, been dry , although we are getting a good rain today and maybe the next 2 days. We need it. I just can't plant much yet because our last frost usually isn't until the middle of May. Doesn't pay to get in a hurry. I like gardening but hate to have to plant twice.

Our water year starts the first of October. As of the end of March, we had received more than we normally get in a year. It has been a very wet winter.

Our garden and lawn are white this morning.
Good day for snow goose hunting though. 5 guys shot 100+ birds 3/4 of a mile East of me this morning.

I just got my onions in today. We had a frost last night so I won't be putting in any plants for a couple of more weeks yet.
