Today was last day of season till Jan 1st. Me brother and I went. Today was the first time for long johns. Wind was down and fishing was good. Lots of throw backs for small ones. Fishing in 50 to 70 feet of water and the magic number was 39 feet. We used down riggers. The wife bought me one 4 years ago and this was the first time using it. I really enjoyed that experience and will continue. But hard water fishing for trout is my Fav.
Here's some pics from today and fish are in brine for tomorrows smoke.

Nice looking lakers there fella. Pretty country you live in.

Thanks Rem. Been from coast to coast in Canada and have seen some beautiful places, but nothing comes close to what this place has to offer for everything. Smoked the trout today as we dyed 330s. I have one peace of smoked trout left.

Good times. You ever use buzz bombs for them?

Best I could find on line Wolf. I use them a lot for trout as I have also used the down rigger[which works but you don't feel the fish strike like a line not tied to a heavy weight.]. I also use them for walleye in 30+ feet of water. I like the white, blue and chartreuse.
