Well baby is here and no more waiting so took my mentor George and another buddy trapper fishing today
on my old line. Great day as weather was sun and cloud with temps around 73 degrees.
One hour had limit of 12 walleye, did some catch and release then came home.
lots of chantrels out and blue berry's. Thinking of spending next week out at the cabin.
Been 2 years now since i gave the line to my son and spent a weekend.

Looks like a much better day on Ontario waters than you had on Texas waters! Enjoy the time at the camp.

good breeze on lake which was
good for fishing. Bit choppy but would have been worse on the bigger lakes. Les then one hour for these then did catch and release.

Although you have them down there in certain spots , many of you all come north in summer to catch them. The meat would be similar to your white perch. In that case white perch is considered close to walleye for taste and texture. White perch up here is consider Crappie. Yellow perch which we have is another story. Funny how 2 countries that live side by side have different names for the same fish.
