Had a bit of fun today. We have some very tall very dead elm trees out by our shop. I wish I had my computer available to load some photos.
@nyway we decided to see if we could shoot the highest large branch enough to make it topple. About a 30 yd away shot, and up. John got out his sks with scope. And put about 20 rounds into it. Dust and bark flying every shot it that was about it.
Ok my turn. Loaded my ruger stainless 30-06 with four shell's, I prefer open sites. I had open sites put on the rifle when I got it. It was previously set up for scope only.
Hit it where I wanted every time @nd rocked it good. Didn't bring it down but was impressive none the less. Going to plink at it more later. 8)

Yep sure did. after a few more rounds. Hate using ammo like that but beats the heck out of a hospital bill. Wish I had my computer, been living without electricity for a year come next month. NOt my choice even though I have lived many years like that by choice
