Have any of you ever used sharkbite couplers and fittings to connect waterlines ? Just wondering if they are any good . They sound too good to be true. Supposedly can couple copper line to Pex line .

I have heard they don't work well on thin-walled copper pipe. As much as I hate soldering, I would rather solder than risk more leaks. My main concern however, is whether they work when connecting Pex to the old Quest ( Qest ) waterline . My problems are with the quest line, that I am slowly replacing with Pex, but I was looking for a quick fix when I have a leak at 5:00 A.M. or on a weekend. :x

I bought a couple of them to use the next time my quest line leaks, which won't be long with my luck. Anxious to see if they work. I don't plan to use them on copper line.
