I have had some close encounters while bowhunting. I missed a buck that would have scored at least 160 at 15 yards. Buck-fever got the best of me. Had another shooter buck (maybe scored 150) just outside of my shooting range. Its sad to say this, but I haven't even gone pheasant hunting so far this year. The pheasant population in my area is down record numbers. You are lucky to even see a rooster. Eventhough I haven't got anything yet, I've been having a blast.

Deer - 1 with bow
Ducks - 5 to date

But I'm always looking to improve or increase my harvest.
