I like it. There used to be one called "Wilderness Way" was a good magazine. But haven't seen it in years.

WW i think Wikderness Way was discontinued. Backwoodsman is my favorite magazine. I did have issues back into the 80's. the new pioneer is really good too. American frontiersman has 2 issues out in the last 1 1/2. Very good magazine. The 3 best of the Backwoodsman are well worth the money. Ive collected those type of magazines for years. By the way Charlie Ritchie the publisher/owner is straight up and awesome to do business with.

Backwoods home is another good read also if your interested in or living a more self reliant life style. Its a little more liberal then others but has a good gun writer massod ayoob(spelling?). I lost most of my books and mags in the last divorce(again ugh)or i could give you some more reading ideas. Ive got a few of the buckshot jones books too. Hemming i believe his real name is. Hes somewhat of a character but has some good ideas. Good basic trapping and self reliant skills. I hesitate to say survival or survivalist as that has a taint to it now thanks to the mainstream media. If you like those then look at the Foxfire series and Old salts books.

I just started reading it as well. Another good one along the same lines is FUR FISH and GAME.
