:--o Amak I never once doubted Y'all had huge deer. Jeff gave me sheds that looked more like elk than white tail.

   I think buck fever may come into play here. I don't know though, I hate the press that comes with such a deer. A guy shoots something like that he gets a publicity enema. My ol' man would have said he was still suckin, unless he shot it.

X2 on that back. Kind of a sore spot with me. Nothing but killers and triggermen by the droves these days. Huntings new face I guess. Before long, the out of date do it yourself hunters will be nearly extinct, and those left will get crowded out by big money. Sad.

If we each teach our youngsters some of our ethics it may not have to be that way. I find I spend as much time angering guides[How someone from out of province can call themselves that in my bailiwick always makes me chuckle] as actually chasing game.

That's true.. IF we teach our youngsters ethics and morals but, theres too many that dont. Ive helped out of staters here before that are doing it in their own. Hard to fight money though. Too many see the easy and virtually i taxable cash. Oh i was tempted too when the lawyer called this summer and said he needed more money,$7000 more money, im 10 days. Its our society. The easy way. My fiancée was telling her family about my scars and im very shy about that stuff, i just said i never took the easy way.. I lived. Thats all they need to say at my funeral. Too often now we, as in most of society, try to buy happiness. Its moved over into the "blood sports". Im not trying to offend anyone and the hunter had to be quiet and make a good shot i presume but.. I dont see much difference betweeen him or someone going to a locker to order a half a beef??
