Twas a month before Christmas
When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

Why the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just another "Holiday".

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Lady Gaga, an X-BOX, an I-Pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Reid !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,
not Happy Holiday!

So sadly true, This country has fallen so far. It makes me think that every great nation has fallen in history Please Lord reach down your powerful hand and help us before we fall so far we can not recover Amen. I may not be able to change the world but my family will worship the Lord Jesus Christ and if that offends someone to BAD!

Devils advocate here  . I totally understan where you guys are coming from and totally agree with the sentiment  . However, I'm also thinking you need to put the Christ back in Christmas or just call the it gift day. What the [L] are people thinking[I played the game so am as guilty as fox with chicken feathers stuck to it's chin] with the insane gift buying. How many people would be put out of work if we treated it as a religious holiday?

trappintime,
I totally agree with putting Christ back in Christmas. As for the gift day, well I think we could all do with less. I know I sure didn't have what my kids have when I was growing up and I turned out ok (I think). I wonder why we feel the need to commercialize everything. As for all the people being out of jobs. Well I doubt many would be out of a job. People are still going to want the newest stuff and coolest toys( Big Kids to). may just not be all crammed into one month. All I can say is black Friday NO WAY you will catch me shopping on that day. To think you fight the crowd buy a big screen TV and get shot in the leg as your trying to take it to your car. Guy should have had his own gun.
