We had yet again another warm day here in East Texas, our high was 102. I went to bed at 10:00pm and it had cooled all the way down to 91 with 68% humidity. I got up at 6:00am and went outside to enjoy my coffee in the cool crisp morning air. I walked outside looked around and went back in the house. The temp was 79 with 84% humidity, what a nice comfortable morning low, and we have two more months of this nice weather.

Don't know how you can work in that temp. Was 54F at 3.45am when I got up and may go to 75F today. Funny part is people will complain about the heat here.

It was barely 70 degrees here yesterday and they are calling for a high of 74 today! :D They are calling for the hottest temperatures of the year with high humidity next week. Like you said Wannab, it's summer!

You northern yanks think youre so cool.....

We were at around 95 degrees from about 10:30 to 4, then it started to rain and cooled it down some for the rest of the evening. Humidity was probably around 100% like it is everyday :?

I to know your pain. Left the house this morning at 5:30 and the thermometer showed 80 degrees. Just glad that it is still under 100 right now at 12:30pm (97.5 according to my chiller outdoor air thermometer) Just can not wait for December and cooler weather.

That's plain ridiculous. It was 42F this morning and raining, now it's 66F with clear sunshine and a sweltering 68f. Think I'm gonna melt.

I feel your pain TT. I just got home from work at 3:00 in the afternoon and it's a sweltering 71 degrees! I'm not sure how man or beast can take this summer heat.

LOL.......Winter is fine by me. Once you get climatized the cold is nothing, one soon gets used to it. It,s the heat that i can,t function in. Your sweltering 40s and 60s we are at now and just loving it. At least one can enjoy himself out side when doing yard work or clearing trail with out dying from heat exhaustion and take the odd dip in the lake to cool off. Hard winter Larry makes me smile even more as it is time for ice fishing which you cannot do on soft water...lol.

Id much rather deal with cold than heat. You can dress to combat the cold. You cant dress to combat the heat... You can undress however

It was a hot one today. The actual temperature when we got up at 4:30 this morning to head off on the first hunting trip of the season was only like 76. But with the humidity it felt like 85. And it only got worse when the sun came up and climbed higher and higher... :|

I'm not sure how you can hunt in that kind of weather Lox. We will get those very warm days in early October every once in a while and the deer don't move except before sun up and right before sun down. When it's warm like that, I don't bother going out. Early October can be weird here, I've seen temps close to 80 and I've seen snow then also, you never know what's coming that time of the year.

It's no where near a record, but we have been 100 or higher for the last 13 days, with today being the hottest at 104.5. We have a cold front coming in Tuesday and it's only supposed to be 93. Lol

Wannab, whats your humidity level like with temperatures that high? Our temps usually max at about 95, but the 100% humidity brings it beyond hot. What gets really annoying is the fact that your sweat doesn't evaporate, it just keeps running down your head. Before you know it your shirt is soaking wet just from sweat and feels heavy. Which makes you sweat even more

Lox, see if you can open this site and you can check the temp/humidity in Lufkin and other towns in east and southeast Texas. http://www.usairnet.com/weather/maps/cu ... -humidity/

Lufkin is 94% humidity at the moment!

We start out the day with humidity in the 80-90% range. In the evenings when the temps get up it will drop to the 40-55% range.
