I have been lurking for a long time but just never posted. I am chomping at the bit to get out there this year last year was my first I realized just how unprepared I was took a total of 4 animals all season 1 fisher and 3 beaver. I hope to give you guys a play by play as the season goes on this year my friends and I all check in with each other throughout the hunting season to see how the other guy is doing but I don't have many friends that trap.

Welcome to the site! Trapping does require a lot of preparing but that is part of the fun. Every year I find new ways to stream line the whole operation, so it gets easier to prepare every year. I don't have any friends or family that trap with the exception of my uncle who only beaver traps. Not good for the learning curve but I get to trap problem animals for them and their neighbors which puts a little extra cash in my pocket.

I will be trapping land and water animals the focus of my line will be fisher this year. I am located in the catskill mountains NY and as far a prep for the season goes I am sure that I have not done enough but I have already surpassed what I did last year.

Welcome to WAT airborne!! You are going to love it here. There are plenty of pro's on here that I'm sure will give you all the help you need.
Don't be afraid to ask. I have to disagree with you on not having many trapping friends. If your a member of WAT, you have plenty of friends that trap! Now that's pretty cool. 8)
