Sorry for my silence lately. My computer took a nose dive last week and I had to take it into the shop before it Crashed!
Pipe made it back out to the new site last weekend. The barrel was 3/4 empty. That is good for the 1st week out.
5 loads were taken up to the site.

I for one understand about the dang computers. I am using our laptop and about to go pick the desktop up from the repairman. Looking forward to more pictures and stories of your hunts.

It looks like 5 or 6 bears have found the site on the 1st week.

There is a turnaround 1/2 mile up the road. After turning around to head back down to the main river, Pipe held his left arm out the window and sprayed a vanilla, anise and a touch of liquid smoke on the left front tire the whole 3 miles :--D

Dam it's hell gettin' old, they sure look rubbed/thin-haired to me. Guess the wife is right for the first time. I need glasses.

So pipe, are you looking for a real trophy or just one to eat ? Those young bears would be awful good and tender .

Don't beat yourself up doc....it looks rubbed to me too. Maybe pipepusher is the one who needs glasses. I already have some that look like the bottoms of coke bottles, so I know what I see is "improved" over the natural eye. Wait, I think I will tell my wife I am not balding but have a "line" in my fur.

It is time for them to start. :?: :?:
My eyes are getting worse all the time.
I have seen younger blondish bears with a dark back stripe, but the second one does look odd.
Nothin wrong with that blackie.
Not too big doc, I am usually alone.

A bait run was made today. It was a little disappointing. One bag of bait was brought back and the pics are not publishable. One camera was moved.

I will be heading down to the St. Joe tomorrow early with a load, doc. I think I will sit a couple hours in the early morning before I bait. There has not been a stand or blind set up yet, I will just sit on the ground. Hopefully I can bring home some better pics, maybe even a bear.
