Most of you folks know that this was the trip that Harold was to go on with us.
I dont know what would have made the trip better other than him being there.
Here are a few pics of the trip:

Looks like you two had a very good time trapping in Kansas, and im sure Harold was with you. I see your eating habits are good after a hard day of trapping. Congrats of some fine looking fur specially that big cat.

Thanks for the post Clifton. Did Y'all manage any of the swift fox you and Harold were going after? Reckon that is the same ol' bull you saw before? Looked like an outing I'd have really enjoyed!

cdr- Looks like you guys had a blast!! That's some serious short grass prairie!! Sill mostly on the Nat'l Grasslands down in the sw corner of the state?? Kind of funny to see a beav come out such a semi-arid area. Nice connection with the big bcat!!

bronco2 ,
We probably got within 3 or 4 hundred yards of it but thats as close as we got. Dont recall if we got a yote there or not.

NonPCfed,
Yeah, the only water hole in the river was about 20' X 80'. Small beaver but I am sure there were more...lol

Swamp Rat,
No swift fox taken. It may be the same bull....tried to get Kskoons to pet it but he wouldnt! lol

wolf1199,
As far as the food goes, I find it very hard to stick to my diet while away from home. I have lost 26 pounds since the first of Sept.--see the Diet Dew? lol

We had a blast! Look forward to the next trip I go on (maybe Tn. or somewhere else back east). It is a big deal for a hobby trapper like me!
Thanks for the comments fellas! Wish you folk the best on your traplines!

Glad you had a good time down on the grassland. Sure a different part of Kansas. Very Arid. Are you have a good season there at home?

trapperrick ,
The bison was held firmly in a Duke 1.5, and yes, we did release him with using a pvc catchpole. lmao

Jeff Piersol,
Fair season at home......cats are scarce and competition is more than I have ever seen! Our coon numbers are down also so I am not making any gas money....lol Yotes seem to be in fair numbers this year. Beaver are all gone cause of the lack of water..well, some of them are gone for good now :--D
