I had a sheep tag, my mom had a moose tag, and my dad a brown bear. Saw a LOT of sheep but nothing legal due to the new trophy laws Alaska put into use this year. We did see a few moose, but not anything to shoot.. and as for bears..didn't see a single one..
But it was an experience I will never ever forget, and I'm sure my sister won't either. And if I ever get the chance to do it again, I wont take 2 seconds to accept.
(Plus it one of my dreams to get a Dall sheep, and a grand slam)

Merry Christmas from my "neck of the woods" (not very many woods!). Here's a pix of a farm field where I put in some k-9 sets today (way back against the fence line that's in a quarter of a mile). We'll have a nice white Christmas with a nice windchill :P !!

I hope most of you are having a White Christmas. Here in east Texas we are having a wet and mild morning. 95% chance of rain (100% at the moment) with temps rising to 65F by noon, then heading towards the 30s by evening. Regardless of the yucky weather we will have a day to be Thankful for the birth of Christ.....the REASON for the SEASON!

You are so right Swamp!! The AG church we've been attending since we moved into this house hasn't done a Christmas Eve service since we've been going to it (don't know if this is usual for an AG church or not or if its just our senior pastor's idea). Anyway, they decied to do a service last night and they thought there would be a smaller service. Most of the congregation of this church grew up attending other churches such as Lutheran, Reformed, others that usually have Xmas Eve services, so last night it was overflowing (we had to bring up all the loose chairs in the classrooms downstairs to seat everybody). They had communication and nearly ran out. The senior pastor was a bit embarassed but I told him later that the service was great, it was like a family event, not all formal and stuffy yet very meaningful. Yes, the reason for the seasson indeed!!!

I hope everybody is having a wonderful Christmas day! I'm really enjoying the beautiful pics everybody is posting as well. This is the third year I posted a Christmas card and looked back at my photobucket posts and found last years pic and 2010's pic too.

As you can tell, I like backwoods streams.
