One cow had 4 calves? Did they all make it? I'd just love to have twins every now and then. Congrats! Looks like the helpers are doing a great job!

Nope Erik. I get the calves for free from a feedlot and put them on our old milk cow. I trp/shoot coyotes and I get calves in return. That was the first one and the other three should be here by Sunday. The cow is due next week.

100% in 16 years. :D We have lost some before they made it onto the cow but that is to be expected from feedlot calves and the disease they get from the muck.

Also got this fellow that was alive Friday morning looking like this today. Think it'll feed four of us?

Man guys what an Easter day. The sewer line plugged up on a long weekend. Had to call in a favor to get a 100 foot snake that the boys worked through the line and right now the wife is actually smiling  . I can smell the turkey cooking and to top it off a neighbor called and wants to rent one of the new calves to suck a cow until his old crock calves and he can steal it for her. I get a favor owed and save milk replacer all the same time. :D All I gotta do now is come up with a way to make popcorn an option after the turkey is eaten.

That's a bummer about the sewer line over the weekend. (been there, done that) That turkey looked real good TT, I hope you and the family had a very nice Easter weekend dispite the sewer problem. By the way, I see your son had a Roughriders hat on, you'll have to get your new resident (Chinook) to change his team from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Good looking calves trap.

You can probably take the cuffs off the turkey now, don't think he'll be going anywhere.
