I noticed on the Arkansas thread group there were very few users from the area, so I thought I'd add a little dot on the map.

New to trapping, been shadowing an old-timer for a while that passed last year :(

It's a heavy torch, as he spent most of his retired years running a line of 12 traps, and hauling in almost 100% success every day. Mostly fox and bobcat. I never got a chance to learn much about coyote, so I found this forum site while searching.

Looking forward to seeing ya'lls tactics this year, and gaining knowledge from more of you "old-timers" out there!

Everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome! My wife and I are actually welcoming the world's newest trapper, our first son, born this morning! I'll probably be takin him out next year in the lower fields as I run the creek for critters.

Welcome Crow Killed and congrats to you and your wife on the new son. Hope mother and child are both doing well.

Glad you had such a good mentor, most folks aren't that lucky. Sorry about your loss.
